Product Description
Type Fountain pen, working well.
Product Name Mark Twain Crescent (LE 58/98)
Manufacturer and Year Conklin (Modern), USA -- c. 2010s.
Length 5-7/16 inches.
Filling System Conklin crescent filling system. There's a band that you can spin beneath the crescent on the barrel to prevent the crescent from being pushed and compressing the sac when you're traveling with it. Filling system guaranteed for one year from date of purchase.
Color Red woodgrain ebonite with sterling trim.
Nib Extra-Fine 14k nib. Soft and smooth.
Condition Excellent + condition, in box, with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a beautifully colored, shiny limited edition (#58/98). The cap and barrel have light scratching only. The wide sterling silver cap band and clip have moderate microscratching. The crescent filler looks nice with just some light polishing marks. The imprints are clear.
We noticed that the clip is a little odd - the "Conklin" that's engraved on it doesn't look like what we usually see (normally evenly stamped, and oriented differently than what's here), and instead appears to have been hand done? We can only find one other picture of this pen, and can't confirm the clip details on that one, so it's hard to say what's going on.
