Product Description
Type Modern cartridge/converter filling fountain pen
Product Name This is from Conklin's "Antique" collection.
Manufacturer and Year Conklin (Modern), USA -- 2000s.
Length 5-5/8 inches.
Filling System It takes international style cartridges. According to the Conklin web site, these pens are supposed to accept converters, but we tested it with a variety of converters and they were all too long to fit into the barrel.
Color Lovely shimmery greens with a fairly extensive silver-plated overlay. The large panels on the cap and barrel have a barleycorn pattering, interrupted with solid stripes. There are three trim rings above and below these panels on both cap and barrel.
Nib Medium two-tone 14k nib. It is springy and smooth.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a large-sized, long pen with a gorgeous, lustrous color pattern, and with excellent shine. Very light handwear. The cap and barrel are in beautiful condition. All of the trim looks great, with no plating wear or brassing, just some light polishing marks. The clip is beautiful. The imprints are all clear.
