Product Description
Type Piston filling vintage fountain pen and mechanical pencil set
Product Name Nozac Pen Line series with Quick-Fill mechanism
Manufacturer and Year Conklin, Toledo Ohio – Mid 1930s
Length Fountain pen is 5-3/8" and the pencil is also 5-3/8" long.
Filling System Plunger filler patented by Conklin as the "Quick-Fill" system. We've replaced the seals and tested the system and it's working very well. The operation is similar to the one-stroke Sheaffer Vac-Fil system .... pull the plunger out all the way and put the pen in ink, then push the plunger down in one stroke.
Color Green striated, alternating with translucent green stripes. Gold plated trim.
Nib Pen has a FINE 14k "Cushon Point" gold nib. Smooth and semi-flexible, with good tipping material. See our writing sample below. Pencil takes 1.1mm leads, which extend and retract by twisting the top half of the pencil.
Condition Excellent + condition. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. The fountain pen has light handwear and scratching. The trim looks good, with just a spot of brassing near the top of the clip. The barrel imprint is slightly worn, but still readable. The barrel has great clarity, so you'll easily be able to see the ink level. The pencil also looks great, with just brassing at the tip of the nose cone. Both pieces are working very well. The coloration on this set is fantastic - very clear and even, and the green stripes look like they're mosaic blocks.
