Color Ivory with 18k gold trim. The pen is made out of casein, a protein from milk. It is imperative that you never soak the entire pen in water, as this will warp and dissolve the body of the pen. The material is very subtly striped ivory and cream.
Nib 18K ITALIC BROAD. Very soft and smooth feeling. The nib is marked "IB"
Condition Near mint in box. Our inspection found no evidence that the pen had ever been inked. No cracks or chips or scratches. Minimal storage wear. Ships in triangular box within a Conway Stewart box within a matching cardboard box, with booklet. When we got the pen it was missing the gold ring near the end of the barrel .... we found a band that fit well and installed it, but you should know that it is not the original. Very elegant.
