Product Name Model 226.
Manufacturer and Year Conway Stewart, England -- circa 1943-46. Conway Stewart made the 226 model from 1933-46, but the peaked top, diamond clip, and diamond shield on the lever indicate this is a later model, first sold in 1943. The 226s were later released in celluloid.
Length 5-1/8"
Filling System Lever filler. We restored it with a new sac and it's working perfectly. We will guarantee the filling system for a year from the date of purchase.
Color Black chased hard rubber (BCHR), with gold-plated trim. The chasing pattern is lengthwise rippled lines.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM Conway Stewart 14k nib with good tipping material. Flexes easily and gives line variation from medium to double broad. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. The surface pattern is worn, though still visible. No real scratches, just consistent handwear from long-time use. The clip and lever have brassing, and there is some plating wear on the high points. It's beautiful, and working very well. The imprints are worn, but still readable.
