Product Description
Type Lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Conway Stewart 24 (the imprint is really hard to read, but we think we can make out a 24 there, and it matches that model on the CS Book of Numbers, so that's our educated opinion.
Manufacturer and Year Conway Stewart, made in England -- circa 1950s
Length Just a hair over 5"
Filling System Lever filler. We replaced the bladder and it is working well. We guarantee the filling system for a year from the date of purchase.
Color "Grey Hatched", it's got a lot of individual "chunks" of grey and black stripes. Gold plated trim, and the cap jewel is silver aluminum with remnants of black paint.
Nib Medium 14k nib, marked "Conway Stewart 14ct Gold". Firm and smooth.
Condition Very nice condition. There is moderate to heavy scratching on the cap and barrel. The cap jewel has scratching and we think it used to be black, but most of the paint is gone. The clip and clip ring have a lot of brassing, and also dots of plating wear. The cap bands have quite a lot of brassing on the edges. The section is quite faded to a medium brown-black. There is a lot of brassing and plating wear on the lever bar. The barrel imprint is very worn, and only a few characters are readable. No cracks or chips.
