Filling System Lever filler. We replaced the bladder and it is working well. Guaranteed for one year from date of purchase.
Color Black and brown crosshatches. The original color was likely burgundy (as seen near the front of the barrel, where the cap covers it), but it has faded evenly to a nice sort of cool brown color. (Or perhaps the burgundy is ink staining.) The trim is gold plated. The cap has a metal jewel. 1/4" cap band.
Nib MEDIUM 14k #5 Nib. Firm, no flex.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks. This is a pretty, shiny pen with a great cross-hatch pattern. The cap and barrel have fairly light wear. The cap has some pitting on the lower half, near the cap band, and some shallow marks near the top. The clip has dots of brassing, especially near the top and on the clip ring. The top metal tassie has lost all of its original black paint and has some surface denting. The 1/4" cap band has light microscratching. The section has uneven fading, but no scratches or tool marks. There are marks on the barrel from capping, and some heavier scratches near the end of the barrel. The lever has brassing and some corrosion. The imprint is somewhat faded, but still readable.
