Color Velvety black with gold plated trim. It has three cap bands and a black domed end piece above the clip and a flat bottom.
Nib Medium FLEXIBLE 14k "Duro" Nib. The Duro nibs were the best that Conway-Stewart offered, but most of them were firm, so this flexible nib is a bit uncommon. The nib has easy give for pleasing line variation from fine to broad. See the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a velvety black, shiny pen that has a nice, vintage appearance. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip as well as light to moderate scratching. The lever has heavy plating wear and light pitting. The cap has moderate scratching and microscratching with some clustered scratching around the end of the clip. The triple cap band looks nice. The bottom band has some light plating wear and the top band has light microscratching. The middle band is excellent. The clip has plating wear along the edges of the diamond end and at the top of the clip. The clip ring is dark with pitting and plating wear. The imprints are clear.
