Filling System Lever filler. We replaced the bladder and it is working well. We guarantee the filling system for a year from the date of purchase.
Color Marbled tan design, probably casein. It is a mix of light to medium browns and tans. HOWEVER, a very short portion of the barrel near the section and the inside of the cap are either burgundy or plum colored, so the material has likely faded from one of these colors over time, or the color may represent an ink stain. The former makes sense, as the CS Book of Numbers doesn't show any sort of brown as one of the variants for this model. The section and cap jewel are black. The cap has a three-part cap band with a 1/8" band sandwiched between two thin bands. The trim is gold filled.
Nib MEDIUM 14k Conway Stewart DURO nib. Firm and smooth.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The pen is a nice size and the coloration is attractive in spite of being faded and possibly not the original color. The barrel has light scratching with more moderate scratching at the top of the barrel where it meets the cap. The lever has plating wear and brassing. The cap has light scratching. The clip has both plating wear and brassing. The cap rings have light scratching, but we don't see any brassing or plating wear. The imprints are somewhat faded, but readable.
