Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name PTB-30000Z, or 3776 Higo Zogan
Manufacturer and Year Platinum, Japan - c. 1980s? We're not exactly sure - it's got a 3776 nib so it's post-1978, but the cap has a flattened finial rather than the rounded one of recent models.
Length 5-7/16"
Filling System Platinum cartridge or converter fill. A converter is installed.
Color Black resin with a brushed finish. Gold-plated trim. Higo-zogan cap band with a ginkgo-like pattern. Higo-zogan is a Japanese technique that doesn't use any lacquer, it engraves a design on an iron base and then embellishes the design with gold.
Nib Medium 18k Nib. Typical Platinum smoothness.
Condition Excellent condition. There is some light wear on the clip, and a few dots of plating loss on the side of the clip. The rest of the pen looks fantastic. No cracks, chips, dents, or dings. The imprints are clear.
