Product Description
Type Vintage slightly oversize pen which works beautifully
Product Name Model 16 (the imprint on the end of the barrel is worn but readable)
Manufacturer and Year Waterman, Canada (only the nib is marked) - circa 1920s
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System Eyedropper filling system. We've cleaned and tested it, it's working very well. We'll include an eyedropper kit and instructions on filling this pen.
Color Chased black hard rubber with a nickel plated clip. The barrel is smooth from wear, there's just a hint of the chasing. There's no imprint in the hard rubber except for the very faint model number imprint on the end.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE. Waterman IDEAL Canada #6 nib, excellent tipping and smoothness. See writing sample. Line variation from fine to broad.
Condition Excellent condition. It's a little lightened in color from exposure to sunlight. Very smooth and shiny, so there is very little evidence of the chasing pattern on the barrel. You can still see the shadowy remnants of the pattern on the cap. No cracks or chips. The clip has a bit of brassing around the rivets, but is otherwise in excellent shape. The imprints are largely smoothed out, and you can just barely make out the model number on the barrel end. It's a nice looking pen and it's working amazingly well.
