Product Description
Type Vintage fountain pen
Product Name 33, as written at the end of the barrel.
Manufacturer and Year Crocker, USA -- 1910s. The long lever filler came out in 1913 and is somewhat similar to the hatchet fillers. Crocker later became Chilton before ceasing production in the 1920s.
Length 5-5/8"
Filling System Long lever filler. It is a different form of the lever filler, with a blind cap that is unscrewed to release the lever. The blind cap spins in place and only allows the lever to move in one directly. The blind cap becomes part of the lever and acts as a handle for the motion that fills the sac. A new sac has been installed and it's working well.
Color Black chased hard rubber (BCHR) with a wavy pattern for the chasing.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE Crocker #3 14k nib. The tines spread easily for strong line variation. We consider it full flex bordering on a wet noodle. Please see the writing sample below.
Condition Superior condition. The black color is perfect as is the chasing. It is easily visible and texturally consistent. The imprints are all legible, though the painted 33 at the end of the barrel is partially worn. Not too many marks and hardly any handwear. The lever has some wear. The pen is fully restored and working well.
