Product Description
Type Combination lever filling fountain pen and mechanical pencil, restored and working well.
Product Name Unknown. (We're not sure if Crusader is the maker or the model name.)
Manufacturer and Year Crusader, as marked on the clip -- 1930s.
Length 5-13/16-inches.
Filling System The fountain pen side is a lever filler which we have restored with a new sac. The pencil end takes 1.1mm (or "Thick") leads, which extend by twisting the cone. The mechanism wasn't working quite right but now it grips the leads firmly and extends and retracts the leads well.
Color Marbled blue and black with gold plated trim. We're guessing it's celluloid.
Nib FINE gold plated nib with no tipping material. Instead it has been shaped to create a tipping-like area on the nib. This is how it was produced.
Condition Excellent + condition. No cracks or chips, dings, dents, or personalization. There are some small marks on the pencil cone and the plating is thin or gone on the trim. The pen has very little handwear and no scratches. We've restored the pen part, and both it and the pencil mechanism are working very well.
