Portraits of the two explorers, an image of the sled that Henson designed (still the basis for polar sleds today!), and a plaque with the names of those in the polar party, including the four Inuit men who accompanied Henson and Peary.
Nib MEDIUM (not marked, but that is our judgement of the nib size) 18k, two-toned nib.
Condition Near mint condition. This is a heavy, highly decorated, commemorative and limited edition pen. The cap and barrel are fantastic. All imprints and hallmarks are clear. There is some light patina or tarnishing scattered throughout, but the surface is mostly smooth and shiny. This is a gorgeous, weighty work of art, with the added function of being able to write! No box or paperwork.
