Product Name Limited Edition Pietro Vannucci Dietto (Il Perugino) Fountain Pen (commemorating the 500th Anniversary of Pietro Vannucci, aka Il Perugino). Il Perugino was an Italian Renaissance painter of the Umbrian school who was born in 1446 and died in 1523. He is known for his painting and fresco work.

Color Both the cap and barrel are made from special resin hand tooled from a solid bar. The barrel is red/orange with a pattern of octogonal geometric figures. This figure is repeated on the end of the barrel. The cap is green and black striated. It includes the 500 anniversary dates (1523/2023) on the black piece above the clip. As well, it includes the limited edtion number on the back of the cap just above the wide cap band. The cap band and clip are vermeil (gold plated sterling silver). The cap band is 1/2" wide and has an engraved pattern of bars and arrows. The clip repeats the geometric pattern of the barrel on the top and it has an ornange cabochon at the end. There is a clear viewing window under the section. The section is a smooth red/orange.

Condition Near mint condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is an over-sized, impressive pen that is beautifully colored and designed. The barrel is lovely and the pattern is uniform and intact. The section has some light microscratching. The viewing window is clean and clear. The cap is shiny and beautiful. The cap band has some light microscratching on the smooth part of the carved gold pattern. The clip is excellent. The clip ring has some light microscratching. The cabochon at the end of the clip looks excellent with just a bit of gunk around one edge (could be pen polish). All imprints are clear.
