Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Unknown.
Manufacturer and Year Do-Write, USA -- 1930s-40s based off of the design.
Length 5" capped.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Off-white pen with red and blue stripes. There are black step down pieces on the ends and a yellow tinted viewing window. The cap has a 1/4" cap band with detailed patterning. The trim is chrome plated.
Nib FINE steel "DO-WRITE PEN" nib. It writes smoothly. It looks like the nib was originally gold plated.
Condition Excellent condition. The pen has no cracks. There is a part at the end of the barrel where one of the red lines has chipped or was applied unevenly. We photographed it and you can see it below. The viewing window is very clear with one crack running between it and the section. It doesn't leak. The inside of the cap has some blue staining. Because the white material is translucent you can see shadows from the outside when the cap is held up to light. The trim is worn on the edges of the clip and in parts of the cap band. The pen is fully restored and working very well.
