Type Rollerball Pen
Product Name Unknown
Manufacturer and Year Dunhill, Germany -- 1970s. Despite Dunhill being based in the UK, in the 1970s and 1980s the pens were generally made by Montblanc or Reform in Germany.
Length 5-1/4"
Filling System Takes Dunhill rollerball refills originally, but standard international rollerball refills work as well. A new Schmidt 888 refill is installed.
Color Silver with a brushed finish. We think it's plated, because there's no mark indicating that it's sterling.
Condition Excellent condition. There are spots of pitting or corrosion in the surface of both barrel and cap. Some of the spots are green, which suggest copper content that has oxidized (sterling silver is often alloyed with copper, or the pen may be plated and the base metal could be brass, which is a copper and zinc alloy). The lack of a hallmark suggests that this is silverplated. The imprints on the clip and cap lip are legible.
The photos make this pen look really rough; it's actually fairly nice in the hand.
