Product Description
Type Vintage bulb-filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Unknown.
Manufacturer and Year Unknown, made in England -- 1930s.
Length 5-1/8 inches.
Filling System The pen is filled via the bulb system. You unscrew the end of the barrel and squeeze the bulb a few times, letting it re-inflate and pull in the ink. We have installed a new sac and tested the pen to confirm that it's working very well.
Color Semi-transparent dark green barrel and black hard rubber cap and blind cap. The black portions of the pen are hard rubber. The whole pen has fish scale chasing and both ends of the pen have plastic black jewels. The trim is probably nickel plated.
Nib FINE 14k nib is semi-flexible. The tines don't spread very far but the nib writes with nice line variation. It's a good looking nib. See the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. No cracks or chips, dings, dents, or personalization. The nickel plating is quite worn on the clip and around the pen jewels. The chasing looks really good as does the barrel transparency. The imprint on the barrel (Made in England) is easily read while the imprint on the feed (PAT PDG) is hard to read. The pen has been fully restored and it's working well.
