Manufacturer and Year Esterbrook, made in USA -- mid 1930s. This is an early uncommon version in hard rubber.

Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black hard rubber with steel trim. This is an earlier version of the dollar pen with the earlier version of clip that has a ridge that stops at the second cutout spot, and the "spear" style lever.
Nib FIRM FINE GREGG Esterbrook 1550 steel nib.
Condition Very nice condition with no cracks. This is a dark, shiny pen in a classic design. The color has faded to a deep dark chocolate brown that can be contrasted with the black that is seen on the section and areas hidden by the cap. The barrel has marks caused by the cap lip as well as moderate scratching especially to the far left of the lever. The lever has moderate scratchiing. The cap has a few long scratches and otherwise just light scratching. The clip and top disc have light plating wear and moderate scratching. The cap band has moderate scratching and a little pitting along a part of the top edge. The imprints are clear.
