Filling System Vacumatic (piston) filler. This was called the "One shot" vacuum filling system by Eversharp and is modeled after the Sheaffer vac-fil system. We've restored the filling system in-house and it's working very well. We'll guarantee it for one year, though we expect it to last reliably for much longer.
Color This pen is Jet Black, one of the Airliner Colors. The majority of the barrel acts as a viewing window with an amber spiral portion. The barrel winds up looking a lot like a peppermint stick. The trim is gold filled and includes a narrow band between the piston knob and the barrel and a 1/8" cap band with cut outs.
Nib FLEXIBLE MEDIUM ITALIC 14k Eversharp nib. The nib unflexed writes like a medium cursive italic. The tines spread easily and far for additional line variation. In conjunction the pen offers full flex type line variation. See the writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition. The color is nicely translucent and the viewing section is very clear. The pen has no major scratches and minimal plating wear. The piston knob has bite marks and the the barrel has some capping marks. The cap has a scratch on the imprint and to the left of the imprint. The piston knob turns well. The pen is working very well.
