Product Description
Type Lever filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name Model unknown. It was probably one of the last models to bear the double check emblem, and the shape is vaguely like the Equi-poised models.
Manufacturer and Year Eversharp, made in USA -- 1940s.
Length 5-1/8".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Burgundy. The cap and barrel are a deep dark color, almost black in lower lights, but then the dark red color shows up under brighter light. The trim has thin gold plating.
Nib Medium "Flexible" Eversharp 14k nib. It writes smoothly and has good line variation. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition. There is light scratching on the cap and barrel. The cap band has microscratching, but no brassing or plating wear. The clip has a bit of plating wear on the sides. The cap has the double-check seal above the pen, which is present and intact. The ink view portion of the section is clear. The lever bar has a bit of plating wear along the sides. We've fully restored the pen and it is working well.
