Product Description
Type Vintage pen with eyedropper filling system and a long tapered cap.
Product Name It's very similar to a Waterman model 322, which is described as having a gold barrel overlay, a taper cap holder, and a #2 nib. The pattern in the catalog is simply called "Chased"
Manufacturer and Year Unknown maker or location. It resembles some pens we've seen from the 1900-1910 time period.
Length 6-1/8" long when capped, and with the cap posted it's almost 7" long. Without the cap, it's 4-5/8" long. Quite slim.
Filling System Eyedropper. We tested the pen and it works very well. We will send an eyedropper kit which consists of a pipette and silicone grease for sealing the pen.
Color Black hard rubber body, with a gold overlay for the barrel. There are no hallmarks to indicate the gold content in the overlay, and based the condition in some spots appears to be gold filled. The overlay is an elaborate, decorative scroll pattern.
Nib FINE Warranted #2 nib. No flex, just a little "give."
Condition Excellent condition for this long, tapered, elegant fountain pen. The biggest flaw is that there is a chunk of the overlay missing in the edge closest to the nib, as well as some corrosion. We've included a detailed shot of this area in the photos. The overlay has spots of brassing and scattered spots of plating wear. The black hard rubber has some slight fading. The cap fits tightly and stays on. The section has solid black coloration with capping lines and moderate scratching. The cap fits very well over the section and posts securely. No imprints.
