Product Description
Type Modern small to medium sized fountain pen
Product Name Model 46
Manufacturer and Year Franklin-Christoph Pen Company, USA -- this is a current model.
Length 5-3/8" capped and 6-5/8" posted.
Filling System Cartridge/converter - because of the clear material, you can see how the barrel is JUST long enough to accomodate a converter. The pen can also be used as an eyedropper (see note below).
Color Antique Glass acrylic - a clear acrylic with just a hint of green tint to it, like vintage glass soda bottles. (see note below)
Nib MEDIUM SIG JoWo #6 steel nib has F-C's in-house "stub italic gradient" on it. It's meant to give you the smooth feeling of a stub nib, with the sharper line variation of a cursive italic, consistently whether you hold the pen at a steep or shallow angle.
Condition Excellent condition. Signs of light usage, microscratching and handwear. No cracks or scratches. The pen will ship with a Franklin-Christoph suit grey single pen case.
NOTES on this material:
Staining: we have personally noticed that the interior textured surface of the barrel as well as the threads are prone to staining, which is easily visible due to the clear material.
Microfractures: Franklin-Christoph warns that this material can develop "microfractures" in certain areas over time. While this is not a structural issue, it can alter the look somewhat, so please consider this before purchasing.
