Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen, restored and working well.
Product Name It looks like it's related to the "Stonite," but the barrel is unmarked.
Manufacturer and Year Gold Bond, made in Chicago, Ill. -- 1930s.
Length 4-7/16 inches, not including the ring top hardware.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black and pearl color with black ends. Gold plated trim with a tripple cap band. The cap and barrel show a little discoloration with parts of the color appearing a little darker and orangy (see photos below).
Nib FINE Gold Bond 14k nib. It's fairly smooth and somewhat firm with nice tipping material.
Condition Excellent condition though there are some tight cracks on the cap near the top. This is very common across most manfacturers who offered the black and pearl celluloid. No cracks in the cap lip. There are some very small marks of plating wear on the corners of the lever and the other trim. As mentioned above, there's some lesser discoloration, but no chips, dings, dents, or personalization. The imprint is a little worn but still readable. We've fully restored the pen and it's working very well.
