Manufacturer and Year Gold Bond, made in USA -- 1930s. This is one of the best quality "second tier" makers, and becoming more collectible.
Length 4-1/2" (junior size).
Filling System Lever filler. We've replaced the sac and it's working well.
Color Lovely green marble color with gold plated trim, three thin cap bands. The barrel is slightly discolored on its edges, where it shows a slightly more amber hue.
Nib SEMI-FLEX EXTRA FINE gold nib marked only 14k U.S.A. Its smooth with nice tipping material. It produces easy line variation from extra fine to medium. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent condition. No cracks or chips, dings, dents. There's some slight scratching and handwear on the cap and barrel, and some minor discoloration. There are some semi-deep scratches on the section near the nib which you can see in the nib close-ups below. There's also light plating wear on some spots of the cap bands and lever, and on the ball of the clip. The imprint is clear and readable. The pen has been restored and is working well.
Someone scratched the initials R L into the top of the cap.
