Product Description
Type Fountain pen with a hooded nib
Product Name unknown, with a design copied from the Parker 61.
Manufacturer and Year Golden Star, China - we think it was made in the 70's or 80's. (The converter is marked with the Golden Star logo)
Length The fountain pen is 5-3/8" long, and the ballpoint gel pen is 5".
Filling System The fountain pen has an aerometric squeeze filling system, not removable. The ball pen will take a Parker gel refill, and a blue one is installed.
Color Elaborate cloisonne - gold background, with enameled flowers (peonies, we believe) scattered throughout. Black plastic section on the fountain pen. Very shiny!
Nib The fountain pen has a fine hooded nib, not sure of the material.
Condition Excellent condition, in box. Light handwear. The fountain pen has some scratches on the section, probably from capping the pen. We tested the pen and did not find any leaks, and the ink flow was very good. No plating wear. The rollerball pen is also in great shape, though we do spot a bit of plating wear at the tip of the nose cone. Comes in a box covered in a taupe fabric with blue and gold designs woven into it, and what are likely bone toggles. The box has some wear, but it's still in remarkably good shape.
