Product Description
Type Vintage ring top lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Unknown.
Manufacturer and Year Good Service Pen Co., Chicago – circa 1920s or '30s. This was a Sears Roebuck brand, sold in their stores.
Length Just over 4-1/2" not including the ring top hardware.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Black chased hard rubber with gold plated trim.
Nib FINE Duo-Way steel nib marked 14kt gold plated (though the gold plating is almost entirely gone).
Condition Excellent condition. There's some brassing on the edges of the two cap bands, and the plating has almost entirely worn off the lever. There are a couple of scuffs on the section, but the chasing is fairly crisp and in nice condition. No cracks or chips, dings or dents. The imprint is fairly clear and readable. It's fully restored and working well. ("Vera" engraved on cap.)
