Color Barrel is ebony, a black colored wood, with platinum plated section, end piece, cap and clip. Graf von Faber-Castell calls it "platinized accents." (We were wrong in the writing sample and called it sterling.)
Nib Medium cursive italic 18k nib. The nib is labeled B and started as a broad. The nib was ground and the tipping was narrowed. Visually the nib still looks like a broad but it writes like a fine/medium with line variation. See the writing sample below.
Condition Near mint condition with handwear and polishing marks. The ebony looks almost perfect. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. We've tested and cleaned the pen, it's working very well.
