Condition Excellent condition with no cracks. This is a shiny, velvety black pen, in a classic design. The barrel has random scratches but still looks very shiny. The lever looks good. The cap has some scattered small scratches and marks. The cap band has one little area of plating wear. The clip has some microscratches, but overall the trim is really nice. The imprints on the barrel and the clip are very clear.
There's a little needle inside the thin tube of the tip which keeps the channel from clogging and helps feed ink to the tip, and the needle moves back and forth in the tube with a shake of the pen, just as it should.
