Filling System Twist fill. We have restored it with a new sac. The filling system is fairly simple in that you submerge the nib in ink and twist the end of the barrel about one full turn, then return it to its original position and wait 10 or more seconds before pulling the pen out of the ink.
Color Red Mottled hard rubber. Gold filled trim. The cliip has two humps and a pin in the middle and there is a spring at the top of the clip.
Nib FLEXIBLE FINE Giant Security nib. See writing sample below.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a very large pen in a beautiful color, in a unique design and with unusual features. The barrel has light marks caused by the cap lip and light overall signs of usage. The cap has light wear only. The cap band has plating wear along the edges and a few scratches. The clip looks great. The large band above the clip has microscratching. The imprints are clear. There's a slight gap between the blind cap and the barrel, as seen in a photo below, but even after restoring the pen this gap remained, and we did not want to force it to close, so if you buy the pen you should please plan on living with this gap.
