Product Description
Type Cartridge/converter filling fountain pen, working well.
Product Name Lady Sheaffer 925. It is a high end White Dot pen. This is a rather hard to find model, "Sea Spray", shown on page 123 of the Lambrou book. It is standard length but slightly slimmer than the Imperials of the same era.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer, USA -- circa 1973
Length The fountain pen is 5-1/4 inches capped. It does post, but you risk damaging the barrel.
Filling System The fountain pen is filled using a cartridge or squeeze converter. Piston converters are too long. We will ship it with a squeeze converter.
Color The body is rhodium plated, resulting in a very shiny silver colored finish in a pattern called "Sea Spray." It has a gold plated clip.
Nib FINE Sheaffer 14k gold "Stylpoint" recessed nib. (Please note that the Lambrou books shows this pen with a conical Triumph nib. According to our research, when these pens first came out in 1971 they were fitted with a short version of the Triumph nib; this was changed in 1973 to the type of "Stylpoint" nib which is on this pen.)
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a beautifully shiny, elegant pen in a hard to find design. The cap and barrel look fantastic. The shiny end piece of the barrel has some plating wear along the edges. The section has light scratches. The cap band has light scratching (small marks). The clip has some microscratching. The white dot is perfect. The shiny top piece of the cap has microscratching and a couple tiny dots of pitting. The imprints are clear.
