Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Lady Sheaffer VI -- part of the Skripsert (clipless) line.
Manufacturer and Year Sheaffer - circa 1959
Length 5-1/2"
Filling System The fountain pen takes standard Sheaffer cartridges. We tested it with all the Sheaffer converters types, including the rare button converters, and none fit. That's the weird thing about these Lady Sheaffers, some accept converters and some simply don't due to a "stop" in the barrel. We will include some ink cartridges.
Color Periwinkle colored enamel over metal, with a gold basketweave that gives a nice texture, making the pen easy to grip. The pattern was officially called "Paisley" and the color was periwinkle, per Sheaffer's 1959 Lady Sheaffer brochure.
Nib FINE steel Triumph conical style with an upturn.
Condition Excellent condition with no cracks. This is a beautifully colored pen with a unique design that is elegant. The cap and barrel have light to moderate scratching on the periwinkle inside the gold basketweave. There are some areas with light bubbling on the barrel. The periwinkle end of barrel and top of cap have small scratches that reveal the metal under the paint. This is more pronounced at the very end of the barrel. There are no imprints.
