Product Description
Type Fountain pen with piston filling system
Product Name Lamy 2000
Manufacturer and Year Lamy introduced this pen in 1966 and has made only insignificant changes to the design, apparently, because it looks just like the ones being sold today. We're not sure of the vintage of this model, but the clip is all one piece without the ball bearing so it is after the 1970s. It says "Germany" under the clip so it is post-1990.
Length 5-9/16"
Filling System Piston filling system. We've tested it and it's working well.
Color Black Macrolon (polycarbonate plastic reinforced with fiberglas). There is a thin row of clear viewing window.
Nib BROAD 14k gold which has been plated with platinum. We are guessing about the nib as it is not marked, but it does look a bit wider than a medium.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a large, dark pen that looks simple and modern. The macrolon material does not mark easily and there are no visible scratches. The clip looks great. The little viewing windows are excellent. The LAMY imprint on the side of the clip is clear.
