Product Description
Type Fountain Pen
Product Name Lamy Dialog CC. This is a revised version of the Dialog 3. The Dialog CC is slightly shorter, has a rollstop rather than a clip, and features rose gold plated trim.
Please note that there are some really good knock-offs being made of this model in China, however we sourced this pen from a knowledgeable collector and it looks like the real thing to us. If you have any concerns, you are of course welcome to return it for a refund.
Manufacturer and Year Lamy, Germany -- Current Production, this is a current model and color.
Length 4-7/8"
Filling System Takes Lamy T10 cartridges and converters. A converter is installed. You fill the pen by unscrewing the top half of the pen, then unthreading and removing the entire nib/converter unit, much like with a Pilot Vanishing Point. Note that the pen was originally accompanied by a small tool used for unscrewing the nib unit, but we do not have that tool. It is possible to remove the nib by hand.
Color Matte Blue, a deep sapphire blue in a matte finish with rose gold rollstop and end finial.
Nib Fine 14k nib. The nib is two-tone and labeled F 14k 585 Lamy. The Lamy nibs are easy to replace if a different tipping is desired. This nib is smooth and a bit springy.
Condition Excellent + condition. The body of the pen looks fantastic, with no scratching or interruptions in the lacquer coating or matte finish. The rollstop has a bit of unevenness in the coating and microscratching. The end piece has light scratching. This is a really cool example of a retractable fountain pen, with a minimalistic feel.
Again, we want to highlight that the pen was originally accompanied by a small tool used for unscrewing the nib unit, but we do not have that tool. The nib IS removable by hand.
