Product Description
Type Fountain Pen
Product Name Lamy Persona -- high end, towards the top of Lamy's line
Manufacturer and Year Lamy, Germany -- 1990s, this is the earlier 18k nib version and the pen was discontinued in 2004.
Length 5-3/4"
Filling System Takes Lamy cartridges and Z23 threaded converters (no longer produced). A Z23 converter is installed - the converter is from the early 1990s, because it has a West Germany imprint on it.
Color Titanium - a medium matte/satin medium gray silver color, with a gold plated clip. Very modern and streamlined in style, designed by industrial designer Mario Bellini. The clip has a push mechanism to make it easier to use. The cap is smooth and the barrel is ribbed.
Nib BROAD 18k nib. Not marked as to nib size, but we judge it to be a broad. The nib wraps around the section. It is smooth and springy.
Condition Excellent + condition with no cracks, chips, dents, or dings. This is a weighted, sleekly industrial looking pen in a modern design. There are some light scratches on the gold endpiece of the barrel, and also the clip. The very top of the clip has some patina and plating wear. The cap has a few fine scratches visible under magnification, but they're fairly well camouflaged by the surface texture. The imprint on the end of the clip is clear.
