Product Description
Type Vintage lever filling fountain pen.
Product Name Unbreakable, model 40 (marked on the barrel).
Manufacturer and Year LeBoeuf, made in USA -- circa 1920s
Length 4-1/8" capped, not including the ring top hardware.
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well.
Color Amber marble translucent plastic body and cap with gold plated trim. The upper cap and the threads are ink-stained, showing hints of a bluish color underneath the amber.
Nib FULL FLEX FINE Warranted 14k nib is smooth with slightly worn tipping material, but enough to keep it writing smooth. It's almost what we would call fully flexible, with easy line variation from fine to double broad with virtually no pressure.
Condition Very nice condition, with just light scratching and handwear on the cap and barrel. The plating on the lever is very good, though there are chips in the plating on the ring top hardware. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, or personalization. The imprints are slightly worn, but readable. The pen is fully restored and working very well.
