Type Loiminchay fountain pen.
Product Name This is the 2008 Beijing Olympics limited edition version of Mini Qian Long. See the product page here from the Loiminchay website. According to the product page, there were 338 fountain pens made in each color, however all the orange pens are numbered XX/80 which makes us think they made fewer in this orange color. They are numbered on the band at the end of the barrel.
Though it is called "Mini," it is similar in size to Pelikan M600 and Sailor 21k Pro Gear. See comparison photo below.
Manufacturer and Year Loiminchay. Created in Germany and hand-turned in France. -- The mini size came out in 2008.
Length 5 inches not counting the cap's jewel. (The junior size is about 10% longer.) 4-11/16" with the cap off, 6-3/8" with the cap posted. The section is .40 at its narrowest.
Filling System Takes international cartridges and converters. A new piston converter is installed.
Color Orange "cracked ice" cap and body with a red and yellow cap jewel, and gold plated trim.
Nib 18k nibs. Select nib size from pull down menu. Soft feeling, but no significant line variation. We have been told the nibs were made by JoWo, and they are the same size at JoWo #6 nibs, but they are not screwed in like JoWo #6 nib units, though there is a collar.
Condition New condition. No cracks or chips, dings or dents, personalization, or plating wear. No signs of usage.
