Length The fountain pen is 5-3/8" long. The mechanical pencil is 5-7/16".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working very well. The mechanical pencil takes 1.1mm leads, which extend and retract by twisting the cone.
Color Red mottled hard rubber with gold plated trim. The cap has a wide 1/4" lined cap band, as well as a lined trim band around the top of the cap.
Nib MEDIUM Mabie Todd & Co. Eternal #4 Nib is firm and fairly smooth with good tipping material remaining.
Condition Excellent + condition. The fountain pen looks quite good. The color is strong with a lot of contrast between the light and dark portions. There is light handwear and scratching. The cap band has some splotches of scratching on the edges. The trim piece at the top of the cap has some moderate scratches, and brassing around the top edge. The clip has a ring of brassing around the ball end. The mechanical pencil also looks great. There is an area of brassing and pitting on the cone, as well as spots of plating wear and brassing near the tip. The middle trim band has brassing along the edges. The clip has plating wear around the ball, but the rest of the clip looks quite good. The cap piece at the end of the barrel has bite marks, and there is brassing on the cap's trim band. The rest of the pencil has light scratching and handwear, but no significant marks. The imprints are clear. No cracks or chips, dings, dents, or personalization. The imprint is a bit worn but very legible. Both pieces are working very well.
