Product Description
Type Vintage combination lever filling fountain pen and pencil, restored and working well.
Product Name Unknown
Manufacturer and Year Majestic Pen Co, USA -- 1940s. The Majestic Pen Co. was originally J. Harris & Co. from New York, but the company changed its name in the mid to late 1930s.
Length 5-5/8".
Filling System Lever filler. We've restored it with a new sac and it's working well. The lead of the pencil (1.1mm) is advanced and retracted by twisting the nose cone.
Color Bright green marbled, with plated trim which might have originally had a gold wash. It has a 3/16" checkered patterned cap band that is gold colored, so that's where we get the idea that it might have had a gold wash on the trim originally.
Nib MEDIUM Warranted 14k #4 nib is smooth with nice tipping material. It's got just a hint of flex to it, but no notable line variation.
Condition Very Nice condition. Majestic pens are notorious for thin plating and that is where all of the wear is. There are a few marks on the cap that almost look like scratches, but they're very straight and evenly spaced so we suspect that they were made in the machining process. Otherwise the pen looks great. The pen is fully restored and working well.
