Product Description
Type button fill fountain pen
Product Name Merlina
Manufacturer and Year Merlin, Denmark or the Netherlands, 1950s. There's some suggestion the pens were manufactured in Germany.
Length 4-1/2" -- this is a very slender and small pen
Filling System Button filler (we replaced the sac). We will send instructions on how to fill the pen.
Color White "cracked ice" celluloid with black veins. Gold filled or plated trim.
Nib FINE 14k nib is soft and smooth, with a bit of give and some line variation. There is a sun imprint on the nib. We have had these pens with the lion head logo (made by Rupp) as well as the sun logo, which may have been made by another German nib maker such as Bock or Degass.
Condition New old stock. Excellent condition for this pretty little pen. The color is bright and consistent and the pen has a nice sheen. Barrel and cap have light marks, but no deep scratches. The clip and trim were very thinly plated to begin with, and very little of the plating remains. No cracks or chips. The imprints are clear.
