Product Description
Type Vintage cartridge/converter fountain pen.
Product Name Model 221 or similar. Not marked on the pen but we are fairly certain this is close to the correct model.
Manufacturer and Year Montblanc, Germany -- from the 1970's
Length 5-5/16"
Filling System Takes Montblanc or international style ink cartridges. A Montblanc converter is installed.
Color Black with gold trim. There's a white Montblanc icon on the top of the cap and the end of the barrel.
Nib FINE 14k nib is smooth and springy, though with no real line variation. Nib is marked 585 - this model came with both gold and gold-plated nibs, so this is one of the former.
Condition Excellent condition. There are no cracks, chips, dents, personalization or major scratches. No brassing or plating loss. The cap still clings well to the barrel and clicks when sealed. There is light scratching on the clip, cap, and barrel and signs of handwear on the barrel, but the pen looks great. It's working very well and the nib is excellent.
