Product Description
Type Vintage cartridge/converter fountain pen.
Product Name Model 221P -- the model number isn't marked on the pen, but the pen matches most of the characteristics of this model. The "P" stands for "patronen" meaning cartridge.
Manufacturer and Year Montblanc, Germany -- from the 1970s
Length 5-5/16"
Filling System Takes Montblanc cartridges or converters. A Montblanc converter is installed.
Color Black with gold trim. There's a white Montblanc icon on the top of the cap and the end of the barrel.
Nib FINE nib is smooth and has a little give to it, though no actual line variation is produced. It is a steel nib, though it may have originally been gold plated.
Condition Very nice condition. The cap and barrel have mostly light to moderate scratching. The cap has some heavy scratching, as well as some tooth marks around the top of the cap. The clip has some brassing near the top. The cap bands have scratching, but no brassing or plating wear. The cap still clings well to the barrel and clicks when sealed. The pen is working well.
