Product Description
Type Fountain pen
Product Name Model 72, MSRP in the late 1950s was $32 USD. (This pen was high end, priced similarly to the 149 which cost $33 at the time.)
Manufacturer and Year Montblanc, Germany -- 1950s.
Length 5-1/8"
Filling System Piston filler. It's been cleaned and tested and is working well.
Color Black barrel and gold filled cap with grouped lines pattern. There is a yellow tinted viewing window.
Nib Left Oblique Broad 18k nib. The nib is springy with nice looking tipping material. The feed looks a bit roughed up but the nib looks really great.
Condition Very Nice condition. The barrel has low handwear. There is one tiny chip or material missing from the edge of the piston knob. The cap is dented in a few places, please see photos. Due to the gold filling and the patterning, the dents are not immediately noticeable. We did the best we could to photograph them. The imprints are clear. The viewing window is clear. The cap snaps nicely when capped.
