Filling System Piston filler.
Color Black resin in a tapered shape and ridges to mimic a vinyl record. It has platinum plated trim and a metal piston knob. The clip is a guitar neck and it has a very large Montblanc emblem on the cap.
Nib Medium 18k Nib. It's very smooth and has a peace sign etched on it. The nib is rhodium plated.
Condition Excellent + condition, near mint except for a smoothed scratch on the section near the collar. The trim is basically perfect and there are no cracks or chips. Very little handwear and nearly no polishing marks. It ships with all packaging including a large vinyl record album sized box, paperwork, and a vinyl single of "Imagine" by John Lennon.
This model is said to be prone to cracks near the section and in the cap. We thoroughly tested and inspected this pen and it has no stress marks or cracks. The problem is the design of the metal threads on the inner cap -- when carelessly capped, the metal threads can miss engaging with the plastic threads and cause cracks. The strain also can result in cracks around the breather hole beneath the clip. If the pen is capped with proper alignment, there is no risk of damage.
