Product Description
Type Cartridge/converter filling fountain pen
Product Name Meisterstuck 144
Manufacturer and Year Montblanc, Germany, 1980s -- the pen has a West Germany imprint, so it was made pre-unification. Serial number EB101515
Length 5-1/4".
Filling System Takes Montblanc cartridges and converters. A Montblanc piston converter is installed. Please note the pen doesn't like most generic international converters. They either are just a tiny bit too long or they don't seat firmly, so we suggest you stick with the threaded Montblanc converters.
Color Black with gold plated trim with white Montblanc emblem on top of cap.
Nib FINE Montblanc 18k nib marked 4810. It's slightly springy and smooth with nice tipping material. These nibs are not marked, so we're not 100% sure this is a fine.
Condition Excellent + condition. The cap has light scratching. The barrel has moderate scratching and some scuff marks in the resin. The nib collar looks great. The cap bands and clip, as well as the other trim bands, look great with no brassing or plating wear, just microscratches. The pen looks beautiful and fairly shiny in hand, and there are no cracks or chips. The white star on the cap is gorgeous - pure white, no yellowing or scratches. Imprints are clear.
