Product Description
Type Cartridge/converter filling fountain pen
Product Name Meisterstuck 144
Manufacturer and Year Montblanc, Germany, 1991 -- the pen has a W. Germany imprint and the serial number is in the original font.
Length 5-1/4".
Filling System Takes Montblanc cartridges and converters. A Montblanc piston converter is installed. Please note the pen doesn't like most generic international converters. They are either just a tiny bit too long or they don't seat firmly, so we suggest you stick with Montblanc converters.
Color Black with gold plated trim with white Montblanc emblem on top of cap.
Nib MEDIUM Montblanc 14k nib marked 4810. It's slightly springy and smooth with nice tipping material. It was originally two-toned, but the masking has been mostly polished away. Some traces remain, and is visible in the pictures.
Condition Excellent condition, in box with paperwork. There is a small, very fine, hairline crack in the cap, which we have tried to capture in the final photo below. We really debated here in the office whether it was a scratch or a crack, but we will call it a crack just to be safe. There are light signs of usage on the cap and barrel. The nib collar is clean, no pitting. The pen looks beautiful and shiny. Imprints are clear.
