Product Description
Type Cartridge/converter filling fountain pen
Product Name Meisterstuck Classique, 90th anniversary Special Edition. The model name changed from 144 to Classique in the 1990s. Since it doesn't say 144 on the cap band, it should be a Classique. It differs from the 144 in a few different ways, one being a screw-on cap. This is also known as a 145. It has a serial number: MBLD5MZP9 (see photo). These sell for around $900 pre-owned.
Manufacturer and Year Montblanc, Germany -- 2014
Length 5-1/2".
Filling System Takes standard international cartridges and converters. A Schmidt converter is installed.
Color Black guilloche patterned barrel. Rose gold-plated trim, including finials, cap band, clip, section, and nib.
Nib Fine or Medium Montblanc 18k rose-colored nib marked 4810. (The nib isn't marked and we don't have any documentation with this pen, but it's very close to or maybe a teeny bit wider than another MB fine that we have)
Condition Very nice condition, excellent were it not for the fact that the back end of the barrel portion has some moderate to heavy scratches and scrapes, probably from aggressively posting the cap. We have photographed all these issues below. There are some scratches around the sides of the rose gold cap finial. The clip also has light scratching, but there's no plating wear. The cap has very light scratching on the surface. There is some plating wear in the cap threads. The The textured surface distracts the eye from these fairly well, but they're fairly obvious. Other than those notes, there are light polishing marks and handwear. No cracks, chips, dents, dings, or personalization. The trim looks great and the imprints are clear. It's working well. In Montblanc box, but probably not the original box.
