Product Name Model 149 with a customized yellow binde which partially covers cap and barrel. The work was done by Chris Burton, who is well know and respected for his customizations of Pelikans and Montblancs.
Manufacturer and Year Montblanc, W. Germany -- Pre-1991, prior to German reunification. Serial numbers were introduced in 1991 and this pen does not have one. The binde work by Chris Burton was done in 2013.

Filling System Piston filler. It's been cleaned and tested and is working well.
Color Yellow cap and barrel with black end pieces, and gold plated trim. This pen started out as a simple basic black 149, and the barrel and cap diameters were reduced so that the yellow sheaths could be installed and the pen would retain its original dimensions.
Nib 14k Fine nib with the 4810 imprint.
Condition Near mint condition with just some light polishing marks and microscratching. This is a hefty beautifully colored pen that looks new. The cap has a few areas where there are subtle swirls in the yellow material. The black end pieces and cap ring are beautiful. The white Montblanc emblem is perfect. The imprints are all clear. The section has some horizontal capping lines around the view window. No cracks, chips, dings, or dents.
