Product Name 146 Meisterstuck Solitaire, the pinstripe version is no longer made.
Manufacturer and Year Montblanc, Germany (probably from the late 1990s). No "146" on the cap band, which was done away with in the mid 1990s, and it has the longer 5-3/4" length which also dates it after 1994.
Length 5-3/4 inches.
Filling System Piston filler. Twist the knob at the end of the barrel.
Color Sterling silver in a pinstripe pattern, gold plated trim.
Nib Medium 18k Monblanc 4810 nib. The nib is in excellent condition. Usually the 146 came with a 14k nib, but an 18k nib is not uncommon.
Condition Excellent condition, in box (probably not the original box). Minor indications of wear, but no significant marks other than a scratch on the piston knob (see photo below). We found a few small marks, but no dents or dings. There's a faint scuff on the cartouche, and another on the cap above the "ER" in "Meisterstuck," and we show them in the photos below. This is an elegant and gorgeous executive pen. The imprints are clear.
