Filling System Piston-filler. Tested with water and working well.
Color The barrel is "platinum finished", and the cap is covered in malachite (specifically, malachite mineral ground to a powder and mixed into resin, which is then masterfully painted onto the surface to mimic the natural banding pattern seen in the stone). The clip band has serial number XV1330483 etched on it as well as "Germany". The section is green, and there are windows to view the ink level.
Nib FINE 18k nib. The nib size sticker is still attached to the barrel. As far as we can tell, the pen has only ever been dipped, and never fully inked.
Condition Near mint condition in box. There is microscratching and some handling marks on the cap and barrel, but no cracks, chips, dents or dings. This is a spectacular pen in a gorgeous color pattern, and in almost perfect condition. All imprints are clear. Ships in Montblanc box, with outer cardboard box. The outer cardboard box has scratches and shop wear.
